All media outlets owned by a corporation reflect the agenda of that corporation, which in some cases may only be to make money. The real problem is not bias but rather the lack of true journalism. Nearly every news outlet these days regurgitates information spoon fed to them by corporations and the government. Isn't it amazing how every story on every station is pretty much the same, and even in the same order?
I appreciate NPR and PBS for spending more time on important issues, going in depth and avoiding sound bites. A broad and enlightened view is a welcome relief from advertising-driven "infotainment".
I don't trust people who are always saying "trust me". And you have to wonder about a network who's slogan is "fair and balanced". I think a better slogan for Fox and all other networks would be "DON'T TURN US OFF, OR CHANGE THE CHANNEL, OR THE SKY WILL FALL
".
Effective, voluntary brainwashing. There is very little difference between people in our country (or political parties). But these days we are so easily convinced there is.
