You're SO right - it's all so ironic. My husband spends at least one week per month overseas to look for manufacturing sites with cheap labor. That's the only way American companies can keep up with their competitors (who are about to be there, if they aren't already) and stay in business. Yet IMHO when he facilitates the acquisition of a site, he is depriving Americans (and eventually himself?) of a job. Damned if you don't, damned if you do.

BTW I am really sad about Delta Airlines. It is such a quintessential Atlanta institution. I know so many people (including my brother who has worked there for over 20 years) who will be devastated if Delta goes under. Yet another irony - can't wait to buy Delta stock in the AM at $1.39 per share. :sosad:

OOPS! Y'all are getting me off-track again.

My broker advised against it! He thinks they're going under. I am so scared for my brother, all of the other Delta employees, and the city of Atlanta. :'(

I'm watching online. Somebody just bid $1.05 - OOPS - now 15 cents per share!

After all of the hurricanes that Grayton has endured in the past few years and the two large holes in the dunes that are maintained to allow vehicle access, the impact of the occasional oil drip in minuscule. I think we should focus our worries on rebuilding the dunes and keeping them in good shape.

I thought it might be worth a try, but the MBADD (Message Board Attention Deficit Disorder) is hard to battle. :dunno:
