Golf carts becoming major safety issue in Walton County

All, very good points, and that last one was very poignant. I have been in acceptance mode, but if they venture onto or across 98, I want them jailed and fined to the maximum.

Over here they avoid 98 by driving on the newly installed sidewalks. I saw this frequently during the summer.
The family driving on the boardwalk still takes the cake for stupidity.

Hmmm that's too bad- I have been to other vacation areas, two to mention is Scottsdale Az and Mackinaw Island Mi that have the trolley system, it seems to work well!

I don't know about Scottsdale, but at Mackinac there's no other choice. Are you referring to the island or to Mackinaw City on the tip of the peninsula? No vehicles are are allowed on the island except emergency vehicles. You either bike, walk, or take the horse drawn carriages.

Tonight I saw a cart being ticketed for driving on 98 in Miramar Beach.
