Actually it is. Where you see both cars is where they are always parked. Since we have a slightly steep drive it would be easy to slide on any ice present. Now if you are talking about the other car, I backed it in there so I could head out. That is our turnaround spot.

We have a biker friend in Kentucky, and by biker, I mean it's his only mode of transportation. Him and a friend got out on the road (in a truck) yesterday and they said every light pole for miles was snapped. The power co. employee they found said it would likely be a month before power is restored.:yikes:

They are putting their bikes on a trailer and coming to Florida.

So now they know what a major hurricane is like in Florida?

Except of course that they can build a fire. There's nothing like Florida with no electricity in August.

I have a friend who is a lineman for the Amerin UE here in St. Louis. He was sent south on Monday. Told his wife the situation is worse than any hurricane he's ever seen (he's been to most of them). A lot of the guys are sleeping in their trucks, no hotels have electricity, its the only time they can get warm. He also told her not to expect him home for about 3 weeks!

I think the lineman truly is the unsung hero of disasters!
