It's snowing!

It got to 44 today. They are showing a high of 52 tomorrow here and 58 Sunday but a chance of rain Sunday evening changing over to snow again, with light accumulation possible and a chance of more snow Monday.

And then another slight chance of snow flurries Tuesday. We have had the most up and down winter so far with temps. They are showing lows sometime next week in the 15 to 20 range.

Well, we are under a winter weather advisory for tomorrow. The last day of February. Heavy rain will be in here over the next hour or so and our high tomorrow is going to be 42 and that will be early and it will change over to sleet around noon and then to snow as the temps drop. They are showing 3-5" for the Channel 3 viewing area but probably 2" for us. At least this one is when we do not have to go anywhere.

It has been snowing since around 3:00. Started as rain around 1:00 and then changed to sleet and then to snow. It is still snowing. According to the news earlier the roads were clear. Our street is totally clear. They are showing another chance of 2-4 inches more overnight. We have probably around 3 inches on the ground now. Really beautiful.

It is 28 outside now. And of course the salt and sand trucks were out early. The snow is so pretty laying in the trees and bushes. Could be some ice overnight due to less activity on the roads, will have to wait and see.

I am. I'm worse than a kid. I'd like to find someplace to take our sled tomorrow morning. I want to drive around our neighborhood and take snow pictures along the lake also. It will be gone up in the day tomorrow if the temps get in the upper 30's. I never can get any pictures of any other than here around the house.

Lady D, let us know how you are doing this morning. It is not snowing in SoWal, but very windy and much colder. Curious if any snowflakes in NoWal overnight and this am. Looks like the drive home from the Seaside Run could be snowy for those heading up 331 or 231 into Alabama and Georgia.

Thought about driving to Dothan this morning in case my niece and her babies got a snow flurry...then I remembered that if it did snow, I would probably wreck, and also that they used to live in Colorado Springs; not like when we were little and had never seen snow before.

I recently ran across a picture from when it snowed in Grayton in about 72 - 73 or so. I'll have to find it and post it.
