sorry as well,I didn't mean to sound so rude.

It didn't sound rude. I need a vacation, badly, leaving tomorrow, and guess what is packed? A big thick book about McCain from the library. He's not my candidate of choice, but I am interested in his life and what makes him tick.

I do have typical brainless beach reading as well.

I think Palin is an excellent choice. By the way, on experience, she is the only one of the four candidates that has ever had to balance a budget and she has the highest approval rating of all of the governors. All of this plus being a mother of five. Amazing!!!!

I take my hat off to McCain for making what seems to be a very good choice for VP. I say this coming from two perspectives-

1) She seems solid and would likely do a decent job in that role.
2) He chose the person whom I believe provides him with the best chance to win

All that said, I admit that I cannot help but have *some" sour grapes. I believe firmly that he only chose a woman to exploit Obama for not choosing Hillary as his veep...

Smart? ABSOLUTELY.

He didn't choose her despite her gender (which I believe is more admirable). He chose her BECAUSE of her gender...

McCain chose the VP he did to help him get into office.
For the record, I do not blame him...

If Obama used the same approach and chose the VP who would best help him to win he would hands down have chosen Hillary. He didn't choose her because he feels he can win without her. I believe he is thinking ahead to life in office and believes the Clintons would be difficult to deal with in the White House.
For the record, I do not blame him...

Geo, with all due respect, Obama chose Biden to help offset a very glaring weakness in that he has zero experience and very little knowledge regarding foreign policy. It was a calculated move and made for that very reason, to get him get elected.

Discussing Palin's 5th child and the choices she made do not "say volumes" about her, unless you think personal decisions that women have to make should be used publicly in deciding the capabilities of a VP candidate.

Her decision is her personal business, and politicizing it is disgusting.

Oh, and by the way, I am reading more about Palin before I comment, because I don't know much about her and want to learn more. But if all her "headlines" start with her "decision", then I am going to get turned off quickly.

Yes. The highlighted above are all important as a potential President of the U.S.

Looking forward to she and Biden in a debate!

And, Obama has a better looking resume?????? Come on now, get real. A short time spent in the Senate, some time in the state house of Ill and nada before that. At least she has RUN a state govt for a short period of time and a very small municipality for a period of time. Means she has been the one in charge of the money and the people working for the govt. What in the world has the Big O ever been in charge of. I bet he doesn't even get a say in running his own house with Miss M around.:rotfl::rotfl:

Actually, it's disgusting to say that it was her fault because she had it at 44 years old.

Her decision to have a child at 44 and assuming the risks involved was her personal decision and I can't for the life of me understand why it would be discussed as part of a political campaign, by either side.
