Too bad I didn't realize at the time that I had a rockin' body in my teens and early 20's. I always thought I was too flat chested and was really self conscious about it. I didn't get boobs until after I had a baby. And even then it was quite the shocker. You know what happens about 3 days after delivery...Helloooo Dolly. I decided then that I had a perfectly good body back then. I know I will never be in that kind of shape again but I'm okay with that. I like what Gypsea said...I'll just try to be the best "me" I can be.

I think my daughter got the body I always wanted.

Maybe its a good thing that we didn't totally appreciate our bodies then or we would have been WooHoo!!!

I'm still mentally 16, so I wouldn't be regressing or less wise! :D
I'm 18.

I hear ya.

BTW you might want to avoid using the word "shocker" in front of your teenager. They have a different meaning for that. Daughter clued me in. It's a shocker, as in gross.:yikes:

Vino is a killer, isn't it! All those empty calories but oh so good!

the wine is cut almost entirely out of my diet. unless DD comes to town, or allifunn. omg :yikes:allifunn is coming to town!!! forever! I'm going to be really fat if I don't get control now especially if she comes around cooking all the time and sitting on the porch. gotta have wine on the porch. maybe we can switch to tequila.

OL where are you? I ruined my really good eating week at Fabrice today. but I've worked out the last 2 days and am sore as sheeit - does that count?

okay.. back to veggies and fish. and I am enjoying these foods more than I thought. I had gotten so out of the habit of menu planning, grocery listing, and having the food on hand. it makes all the difference in how I eat. If I have it here, I'll cook it and eat it. If I don't, then I'll eat something that is available, and it probably isn't healthy or nutritional.

Lesson: plan menus. duh.

:wave:Yes, working out allows you to treat yourself a little. I did today. Mr OL is off for a few days while we work on the yard and install a little patio by my new swing. I walked a mile and a half this morning and ate really good up until dinner. We went to Outback and I had a thin slice of bread, no butter, sliced slow roasted sirloin, salad WITH dressing and mushrooms instead of the potato. I had water with lemon to drink and just about floated outta there. It was a good meal. I planted flowers today and I think gardening burns a good amount of calories too.

Hang in there! My MIL is coming to dinner tomorrow before Sam's orchestra concert. I think I'm making something with chicken breasts but have no idea beyond that. Any ideas?

all I know is that fabrice has to be on my do not go list for a while. the sandwiches! the bread! the friggin pastries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like your walk is coming along nicely - keep it up. I think walking is the best exercise ever and so therapeutic. try walking with no music and just concentrate on your work out for a while, then let your mind wander for a little meditation, then concentrate, then think of good things, etc. I need to start this - used to do lots of walking, and would like to start again. Biking may be my best bet though, ankle and all. we'll see.

Good Morning!

Have a I mentioned I hate the rain? The next few days are not going to be nice around here. I thought it was April showers bring May flowers not the other way around. Guess I'll be working out indoors again. It's so hard to get and stay motivated if it's dreary.

Today's breakfast: Kashi GoLean cereal and a few almonds and coffee.

I need to go to the grocery for fresh fruit for breakfasts and snacks.

Has anyone tried "green bags" for fruits and veggies? It's a as seen on tv infomercial thing. They have them at Target and they're supposed to keep things fresh for a long time. I did buy the Topsy Turvy upside down tomato hanger.:D
