LOL girlfriend - you lured me out of lurkerdom with that comment - I am also allergic to iodine. What are the chances? And we used to tan with baby oil too - out on the roof at my parents house. We just fried out there. Now you know, of course, that I use sunscreen religiously, but not back then.

At USC, we would go up on the roof of the dorm to "lay out". Tan accelerator of choice was Afrosheen. I am not kidding. Everybody used it!

I know. I did the baby oil and aluminum foil reflector thing, too.

But never heard of using Afrosheen! That's hilarious, jdarg!

I used to be into sunning so much that I would hold my office hours in my bikini at the Broward pool at UF (closest to the math department) so I could keep my tan up. Then when I became department chair, I had the power to arrange my class schedule so that it didn't interfere with the prime tanning hours.

No wonder I am so religious about getting a skin check at the dermatologist once a year.

The ironing story - let me guess, BobbyJ. You got dressed, noticed your pants were wrinkled in a certain area, didn't want to take the time to get undressed, so you just ironed right on it. Am I right?
