Oh KD......what an awful story. I think it is one of the most severe I have heard. And your father was the worst part.:eek: My dad would have killed me. :yikes: We have all done things we regretted later.;-)

bobby j - did you get the wrinkles out ? your story made me cringe...

i think the worst part i had burned now that i think about it is my eyelids, my part in my hair, and the tops of my ears....

Yes...never try to jump over a 3 ft. campfire when you only have 2 3/4 ft. leap. "Goodness gratious! Great....."

My back!! Couldn't shave for days. Looked like a Wookie.

the first time we went to myrtle beach with my parents, my hubby and i were sitting on the beach, and mr audie said oh my god look at that guy - it's the hairy sasquatch !

it was my dad.....

OK- on a serious tanning note. I put 30 sunscreen on every day, sometimes twice. I am as brown as when I was "actively" tanning and wearing SPF 4. Will ramping up to 45 make that big a difference? I love to be outside, so staying indoors is not going to be a good option. I wonder if I am just going to tan through whatever sunscreen I am wearing?

I would say the simple answer is yes. Also, don't forget that sunscreen numbers aren't strengths, they are time factors. So all the 45 gives you is more time in the sun before you burn, not more protection per se.
