OnMackBayou, I lived 39 years in the western suburbs. Mostly Lombard/Villa Park area, but kept moving farther Northwest there at the end. We got out as far as Lake in the Hills and then made the big move down here. Quite a change for me!

I love Whole Foods. The only problem is that I can spend more to cook one meal from items purchased there than I'd spend at Bacchanalia, the #1 restaurant in ATL. My fave at Whole Foods are the roses - I can get 2 dozen nice roses in a multitude of color choices for about 20 bucks. I *love* to put them in a nice vase and give them to my Mom (who's The Yellow Rose of Texas, from Tyler) and my daughter (who loves pink roses) because they both appreciate fresh roses *so* much.

I know. I looked as well. It's going right in front of the Home Depot. I did some freelance work right next door to that lot and that's what the developers told me and I heard it through a few more people...

Work for Sockeyes?

I was surprised to see a "Sockeye's coming soon" sign in front of HD the other day. I thought the owner closed it all down.

Oh even worse. "Fud's Fun Factory". I freelanced for them on the PR side with the opening. It was a real nightmare...but it worked...paid the bills. For a week! Then they closed soon after that. Wasn't suprised at all. That guy does enough business just doing his rock wall and blow up stuff.

I think Fudpucker's took over the Sockeye's building selling the same type stuff. That's another reason I was curious about Sockeye's building right next door. Maybe Fud forgot to get a noncompete agreement?

They did....Those guys bought that land. I know the guy I was working for was going through Fud's and Chester and those guys were his landlord.

After the "Fun Factory" shut down they were knocking around some ideas about what they were going to put there. Is there anything there right now? I know they are putting condos somewhere. They were rezoning at some point.
