Blair, my looking for a response from you is a bit different than your name calling, but based on your subsequent posts, I guess I should just accept what you deliver; no content, just pithy, drive by posts. I'm going to head up and post to your pittsburgh post.

You cannot equate pre-recorded calls from someone's campaign (some featuring the voice of the VP candidate) smearing the opposing candidate (and which are so vile they are being publicly condemned by members of his own party) w/ a mugging at an ATM perpetrated by someone w/ no connection or affiliation w/ a candidate or campaign.

Some here can, I suppose.

And if McCain can't control his own campaign or party, how is he supposed to run this country?

...Reid told reporters at a news conference in Las Vegas that he's surprised at the "scummy" tactics employed by McCain's presidential campaign and "can't believe John McCain knows what's going on."
The McCain campaign says the calls are warranted because Obama's connection to Ayers...

Like my original post of this thread, it is amazing to me that mcpalin has to stoop so low to attempt regain points in this race. What is more amazing, and I've stated this before, is how his constituency accepts this as SOP. It is as frightening as the filth being spewed. Where is the right headed?

A horrible event. It's crazy that the robber felt the need to beat her based on her political beliefs, after feeling the need to steal from her. Idiocy and despair knows no political boundaries.

Despair? Is that what we call it now? A more hopeful Obama bumper sticker would have surely brought out the inner good in that man. I feel better just having written Obama's name.

fulltime, reading into everything an opening to slight anything Democratic. Despair, as in desperation. He's desperate for money, he's an idiot to beat anyone up over a political button. Nowhere does his party affiliation come into play in my original statement. your response is typical. I think he may have been to a mountainfilm screening right before the incident.

So nobody thinks a steady diet of:

Republicans are racist
McCain-Palin-Klan rallies (a bit on the front page of today's dailykos)
Bush hates black people
Republicans want to jail black people
Republicans are ok with dragging black people behind trucks
Republicans/McCain want to disenfranchise black people

could have played even a minor role in the Pittsburgh thuggery? Not a bit? Carving a letter in somebody's face isn't a random act of violence, it is an act of rage, a hate crime, and probably the result of many years of political hate speech spewed to dredge votes. Sick.
