Why doesn't McCain either put up or shut up. In the private sector this would be slander. We still live in America where one is innocent until proven guilty, the burden is not on Obama. McNasty should present the proof if he's got it, which we all know he doesn't. I have lost all my respect for this man, whatever nice things I've said about him in earlier posts, I take back. This guy will say or do anything no matter how mean, nasty, or untrue, to get what he wants. "Country First" my ass.:cuss:

No Mr. Intellectual......I don't have to ride on anyone's coat talis. I , like everyone else on this board, have my opinion. I just happened to agree with what 30A said...Should I have said "ditto"??? or "Yeah, what he/she said"??? I don't see much difference.....

Aw, golly. I guess I should be flattered to referred to as an intellectual by someone as well spoken as you, but figured you could do better than Beuhler?? Beuhler?? Spelled Bueller btw.
I suppose my expectations were too high.

Here's one for you Blair;

Hello John,

Across the country, people are picking up the phone, usually in the evening, and hearing a recorded voice recite vile smears about Barack Obama. The voice could be Rudy Giuliani's, or Sarah Palin's, or someone anonymous, but the pattern is the same: overheated rhetoric spreading distortions and lies designed to whip up fear or anger at Barack Obama.

The calls are so bad, even some Republicans have come out against them. Republican Senator Gordon Smith's spokesman said, "Senator Smith does not condone these sort of calls."

Susan Collins "urges the McCain campaign to stop these calls immediately." Even Norm Coleman in Minnesota has distanced himself from the calls.

It's time we get all Senators and House members on record about these calls. Follow this link to listen to a couple of these calls, and then fax or call your elected officials and urge them to condemn the McCain-Palin robocalls:

We've been working hard at TruthFightsBack.com to highlight these types of political tactics. We need to make these tactics unacceptable, make it politically painful to run these types of smear campaigns.

Our country deserves better than the slash-n-burn politics of the past. So fax or call your Senators and your Representative in the House and ask them to come out against these calls.

Thanks,
Brian Young

Here.....you try this one

PITTSBURGH -- A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said.

Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m.

Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said.

Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank's surveillance cameras.

The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes.

you go poppy!!! totally agree.

you know - I have seen these in my mailbox and more. of course they are offensive and I believe they are also demeaning to all americans. If obama has put out an ad like any of those - I want to see it now. I'll rip him a letter. but, I won't rip McCain a letter - I do not expect better from his camp.

skunky - I saw the obama tv ad you referred to. it was not all positive, but it was not demeaning or distasteful. it is the first somewhat negative ad I've seen from obama's camp. though I don't see many.

and guess what? isn't this the kind of campaigning that got Bush elected? sometimes it works.:sosad:
