Imagine had he thrown one during Saddam's presidency! whew! He got off pretty easy. I'm not a fan of Bush's policies and actions during his time in office, especially the Patriot Act, but I still respect the office he held and found it disturbing that it happened.

Still three years is a little stiff and I hope Bush follows John Paull II's path and asks for clemency for his "attacker". And JP II was SHOT!

You know, if there was any rational approach to a reply to this post I would pose it. Since there isn't I, and others hopefully, will consider the source and intent and let it go at that. You and Geo are obviously of a different mindset than I am. I, at this point, being vilified, insulted and my service and the service of others denigrated, will let it go at that and consider the sources. I will however, unlike some before me, not acquiesce to those on the board who insult others opinions and quit expressing mine. And despite what Geo says regarding "thank yous" it is the furthest thing from my mind. (If you want to discuss this further, PM me or call me at home and we'll set up a meeting.)
serving in the military has nothing to do with the correctness of your assertions. calling people out because they did not volunteer or become drafted is desperate, cheap shot. you wore the uniform, and so did millions of others.

As you do in so many cases you totally misinterpreted what I said. I called no one out for not volunteering or for not being drafted. And, along those lines, I really think our youth would be better served and more well rounded if in this country we did as the Swiss do and you know what that is. One last note. Regardless of what you say or how you feel about our military, everyone of us should thank those who see fit to serve in our volunteer services. If you do not appreciate and support our military the shame is yours, whoever you might be. As I said previously and will continue to say here and anywhere else I deem it necessary, I am proud to have served and have only praise for those who do so.
