I don't have an ipod. Maybe it's just a silly quirk of mine, but I can't wear headphones, especially when working out. I need to be able to hear what's going on around me.

Same here. I see these guys at the gym wearing Ipods (yes, they wear them), and they seem to focus on the Ipod as much as the weights. They have the headphone cord running up the back of the shirt on the inside. Looks like a tangled fiasco.
