Café Thirty-A Raises $26,200 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton

Café Thirty-A recently held its annual Christmas Charity Ball on Friday, December 7, 2018, and raised a total of $26,200 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton, an organization which provides food and financial assistance to area families and individuals in need. 

Guests were invited to delight in beautiful holiday décor, a buffet, passed heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a champagne toast upon entry. In addition to the commemorative holiday-themed photo booth by Epic Photo Co. and music provided by Rock the House, event goers also had the opportunity to view and shop various pieces from McCaskill and Company Fine Jewelry. Fifteen percent of the jewelry sales from the evening additionally went to Caring and Sharing of South Walton.

Tickets were $75 per person and were available online or at the door. Through ticket sales, a vast silent auction, raffle, and personal donations, the Café Thirty-A Christmas Charity Ball raised a grand total of $26,200 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton. This money will be used to provide food and assistance to local area families with the additional support from churches, civic groups, individuals, and other businesses.

“It brings joy to my heart to see our community come together in support of such a wonderful organization like Caring and Sharing of South Walton,” said Café Thirty-A owner, Harriet Crommelin. “During that time of year, people are usually so consumed with gifts and presents, but this night was all about supporting others and helping bring joy to those who deserve it most.”
