Stinkys Bait Shack Hosts Reelin for Rivers Catfish Tournament Aug 4

Get ready for a day of fun, fishing, and community spirit at the Reelin' for Rivers Catfish Tournament on August 4th at Stinky's Bait Shack in Dune Allen Beach on Scenic 30A!

The exciting event invites both kids and adults to cast their lines and compete in a thrilling catfish tournament, all while supporting the family of young Rivers Hunter*. With divisions for children (14 and under) and adults, everyone has a chance to reel in the big one! Entry fees are $50 for both kids and adults, and generous donations are greatly appreciated.

The weigh-in will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a family fun celebration featuring live music by the Sunshine Wranglers from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Come enjoy live music and delicious food — all for a great cause. Whether you fish or just want to donate, your support will make a big difference for the Rivers family. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to give back and enjoy a memorable day.

*On June 26, 2024 the Hunter family’s youngest son, Rivers, received 3rd degree burns over 30% of his body due to an accident at his home. He was immediately airlifted to the USA Burn Center in Mobile, AL. The specialists in Mobile assessed his injuries as too extensive to be treated at that facility so he was flown via private plane to the Shands Burn Center in Gainesville, FL where he is currently being treated.

Stinky's Bait Shack is Highway 30A’s only live bait retailer and outfitter. The Bait Shack is also a live music venue with a full bar. By morning, it serves as a coffee bar serving New Orleans Cherry Coffee with biscuits and grits. Located next to Stinky's Fish Camp, The Bait Shack has become a staple stop for those wanting Stinky's Fish Camp and Bait Shack gear and merchandise.
