Stinky’s Bait Shack Lures 'em In with Bait, Beer, and Gear

June 17, 2013 by Jill Tanner

It’s no secret that Stinky’s Fish Camp is one of the busiest restaurants in South Walton - with great food, a fun atmosphere and outstanding service. If you love Stinky’s, you'll also love Stinky’s Bait Shack – one happening little place.

The Bait Shack provides bait for surf and bay fishing, as well as beach gear and tackle. It’s the only place in town for live or dead bait open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can even enjoy a cold beer and a snack while you're there.

It may be called The Bait Shack, but it has so much more than bait. All things Stinky’s are sold there, such as t-shirts, cover-ups, hats, koozies, and mugs. Plus, The Bait Shack carries fishing tackle, sunglasses, coolers, beach towels, postcards, art, and local jewelry. The Bait Shack also has the old school strap beach chairs (the ones the pros use), which last forever. You can even pick your custom team colors and they will arrive at The Bait Shack within 24 hours.

Hungry Boards just joined forces with The Bait Shack and you can have rentals delivered to your beach house or right to the beach. Take your pick from stand up paddle boards, surf boards, stand up race boards, and coming soon - the stand up fishing board. The Bait Shack also carries Kahuna Boards (skateboards) with Big Kahuna Sticks for surfing the Scenic 30A  bike path. Whatever outdoor board you prefer, The Bait Shack has you covered.

Stinky’s has become very popular and there can sometimes be a bit of a wait for a table. But now you and your group can walk next door to The Bait Shack, have a drink, shop, and even get an appetizer. Choose from Ceviche, Pepper Jack Cheese Dip, Shrimp Queso Nachos, Shrimp Remoulade, and Shrimp Cocktail Bites. It’s really the perfect time to grab everything you need for the beach too. And where else can you have drinks and snacks while you shop?

The Bait Shack staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Ask them for help in picking out the right bait for your fishing experience. The Bait Shack is truly a one-stop beach shop with everything and more offered to please every customer that enters. So stop by, grab a cold one, and get ready to get your fish on!
