It's Time for Live Music at Stinky's Fish Camp

November 12, 2014 by Teresa Lischka

SoWal locals love the off season at Stinky's Fish Camp in Dune Allen Beach! It's time to get out and enjoy some of the best live music right here at Stinky's every week. Weekly performances will take place Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Stinky's is known to plan a special party or two in the off-season with live music from New Orleans friends and musicians so make sure to check the Live Music Calendar on SoWal.com.

Running of the Bulls | Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. Every Thursday night through February, Stinky’s welcomes Old Bull, Young Bulls for a party now known as the “Running of the Bulls”.  Old Bull Young Bulls is made up of old bull, Duke Bardwell, and young bulls, Kyle Ogle and Kenny Oliverio. They fire up the mostly-local crowd playing tunes that get everyone moving and juking. Duke is a former bass player for Elvis and front man for Hubba Hubba. Kyle and Kenny, also of Dread Clampitt, know how to get the crowd going with their good vibes and quirky antics. Jam out and then take a break by the bonfire outside.

Duck Phat | Fridays at 8:00 p.m. Friday nights are rockin’ at Stinky’s this fall. Duck Phat, comprised of Fritz Froeschner and Billy Garret, play all kinds of great tunes from different genres every Friday night starting at 8:00 p.m. Fridays are a great night to bring a big group or the whole family out for some Stinky’s Stew, Baked Oysters, or the Fresh Fish of the Day.

The Steenos with Franko Washboard Jackson | Sunday Brunch  The Steenos with Franko Washboard Jackson bring the place to life on Sundays, playing some jams that are sure to get you moving. The Sunday Brunch menu is simple, flavorful, and delicious with items like French Toast with Warm Maple Syrup and Fresh Berries, Three Egg Omelet of your choice, the Rock Star Crawfish Pie with two Sheared Eggs. Try a house made bloody mary with fresh pickled okra, green beans and even a shrimp! Brunch is offered every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in addition to the regular lunch menu.

Stinky's guests are invited to explore the new nature walk connecting Stinky's Fish Camp and Bait Shack with beautiful views of Lake Allen. Check in at Stinky's Bait Shack for your Stinky's gear.
