Coastal Dune Lakes Documentary Debuts

Elam Stoltzfus and the Live Oak Production Group has wrapped up production of the documentary film: Coastal Dune Lakes: Jewels of Florida’s Emerald Coast. The company has several free, public screenings in the area and a full slate of showings on PBS.

During an invitation-only World Premiere at WaterColor LakeHouse on April 1, producer Elam Stoltzfus said, "I was really pleased with the reaction of the people who have seen the film. Our first goal is educating people about the lakes and even some of the experts have told us they learned something from watching it."

Coastal Dune Lakes: Jewels of Florida's Emerald Coast is a one-hour high-definition documentary that features the coastal dune lakes of Northwest Florida. The coastal dune lakes are a diverse group of lakes located in Bay and Walton Counties and are a natural beauty to the area.

The film features lakes in SoWal and Australia, the many types of animals that can be found in and around the lakes, what local groups are doing to preserve the lakes, and why the dune lakes are important to the Northwest Florida area.

Award winning filmaker Elam Stoltzfus' directed works include six feature-length nature documentaries on the state of Florida, four of which were shown nationwide on Public Television. The Coastal Dune Lakes documentary will premiere on public television nationwide starting Earth Day weekend 2015, and throughout the summer.

Coastal Dune Lakes premiere film screenings coming up locally include:

-- Watersound Origins on Thursday, April 2, 7:30 p.m.
-- Seaside Amphitheater on Saturday, April 18th, 7:30p.m.
-- Gulf Place Amphitheater on Earth Day, April 22, 8:00 p.m.

Update from Elam 4/9/15

We experienced a wonderful Premiere last Thursday evening at the new Origin at WaterSound Green under a full moon, ambient sounds of crickets and frogs, coolness of a spring night and the gathering of friends.  This was a special moment to be able to share our content and efforts from the past 16 months of production to create the Coastal Dune Lakes story.

We have the book, DVD and CD music available.  Here are several ways you can obtain this information.

On Saturday, April 18th, we will be doing a book signing and film screening at Seaside. 
The book signing will be from 5:30-7:30 at Sundog Books. 
The film screening will be at 7:30-8:30 at the Seaside Amphitheater. 
The event is FREE and open to the public.

On Wednesday April 22, at 7:00 to 9:00 there will be an Earth Day film screening at The Green at Gulf Place Town Center Loop, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459
