Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation presents the 22nd annual Concerts in the Village extended into Fall 2017 for a celebration of local bands and musicians! Gates open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. Bring your chair, picnic and friends and enjoy the night.
MKAF Concerts in the Village FALL SERIES – A Celebration of Local Bands/Musicians
Sept. 14: Heritage
This local 6-member band favorite will inspire everyone with their rhythm and blues/reggae rock renditions.
Sept. 21: Luke Langford & 331 South
Get ready to kick up your feet with this 5-piece high-energy country music band based in the Florida panhandle.
Sept. 28: Déjà Vu
The party starts right here with this popular local dance band performing everything from R&B, ‘70-90s dance music.
Oct. 5: Steve Miller Tribute Band
With hits like “The Joker,” “Abracadabra” and “Rock’n Me,” Steve Miller has always had a knack for radio-friendly and poppy rock songs that manage to sound timeless.
Gates open at 6pm. Concert starts at 7pm. Enjoy food trucks or feel free to pack up your favorite picnic food and drinks and the best shows around!
General Admission is $15. FREE for MKAF members and children 12 years and under. Tickets available at the door. Gates open at 6 p.m. and concerts start at 7 p.m. for this come-as-you-are family-friendly outdoor concert series. Bring a lawn chair and picnic. Fresh, affordable cuisine, including kids' fare is prepared on-site by a featured local restaurant or food trucks. Bottled water and soft drinks are also available for purchase. Sweet treats are also available.

The Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village is a multi-use complex providing entertainment, festivals, outdoor concerts, and other cultural events in Destin, Florida. You'll love the beautiful Village Green and Dugas Pavilion stage. The Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village is conveniently located in the heart of Destin, east of the historic Destin Harbor and west of Destin Commons. Parking and shuttle service is free.
MKAF News & Events 2017!
Concerts in the Village opened Spring 2017 like a "boss" with a Springsteen Tribute Band! The 22nd edition of Concerts in the Village features an exciting lineup of Summer 2017 performances on Thursday nights, and new this year, the Concerts in the Village series will expand into fall with a Labor Day weekend concert on September 3 and a four-concert fall lineup on Thursdays from September 14 through October 5.
Festival of the Arts will return the Village Green for the 22nd annual edition and Sunday October 28 and 29.
And wrapping up the season is the beloved tradition of Sounds of Season, a joyful collaboration of several local community choirs and choral groups set for Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m at Village Baptist Church in Destin.
Popular fundraising traditions again will be hosted including the 7th Annual Celebrity Server Luncheon at Bonefish Grill in Destin in August (date TBA) and the 5th Annual Ruth’s Chris Wine Walkabout in Destin on Nov. 16, plus exciting new events such as the Emerald Coast Top Salon at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa on April 7 and others yet to be announced. Proceeds from fundraising events benefit MKAF and its arts education outreach programs.
