Baytowne Art Walk in Sandestin Sep 4-6

August 31, 2015 by SoWal Staff

Baytowne Art Walk returns to The Village of Baytowne Wharf  this Labor Day Weekend on September 4-6 from 5-10 pm each day in the Events Plaza. This year's Art Walk will include local and regional artists as well as interactive art for children and a great lineup of live music.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf is excited to announce a new partnership with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) and Abrakadoodle Northwest Florida. Schools can register to be part of the live painting competition to win cash prizes. All proceeds will go to the CAA's Art for Wall program providing arts and culture opportunities and experiences to our community with a focus on youth and education. If your school is interested in participating in the live painting competition, please see online information and sign up.

Baytowne Events Manager Julie Stuckey is excited about expanding this year's event to reach artists of all ages. “As you stroll around the charming Village of Baytowne Wharf, we invite you to view unique pieces from local and regional artists and, for a little something different this year, cheer on our children groups competitors as they complete their live painting challenges. We really wanted the art walk to come alive this year with interaction between artists and our guests. Even with our sidewalk chalk art stations scattered throughout Baytowne, kids of all ages can channel their inner Monet”, says Julie.

Live musical entertainment will be a big part of this year's Baytowne Art Walk Scene with performances by local favorites Kyle Lamonica, Chris Alvarado, Ben Loftin, Robby Walton and Matt McCarty Quintet featuring Gina Walker.
