Emerald Coast Theater Company Presents A Dickens Christmas in December

December 4, 2015 by SoWal Staff

Bah Humbug! Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) will present the second annual performance of the holiday classic A Dickens Christmas at various venues along Northwest Florida’s Gulf coast throughout the month of December. Experience a unique adaptation of Charles Dickens’ famous story A Christmas Carol in this up close and intimate setting. Three talented professional actors seamlessly change from character to character as they bring to life the tale of Scrooge and his transformational night with three ghosts.

A Dickens Christmas is an adaptation of the Charles Dickens holiday classic A Christmas Carol. In this version, three actors will play multiple roles as they bring to life the tale of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformational night with the three ghosts. It will be directed by ECTC’s Producing Artistic Director Nathanael Fisher.

“Dickens gives us the perfect story to celebrate the holidays and appreciate one another," said Fisher. “ECTC is happy to add to the warmth of the season in Northwest Florida with this classic tale.”

The three actors of this production will be Denis Milonas, Darla Briganti, and Brittany McLaughlin. Denis Milonas is a 29 year veteran of the stage having performed in more than 40 theatrical productions along the Emerald Coast. Darla Briganti was last seen on the ECTC stage playing the role of Dorothea in “Eleemosynary” and is thrilled to be reprising her role in “A Dickens Christmas.” McLaughlin, a native of Florida who earned a degree in Theatre Performance from the University of South Florida, is making her debut with ECTC.
