Seaside Repertory Theatre Announces 2011 Lineup

Seaside Repertory Theatre's eleventh season in 2011 is packed with good ole gals, gripping drama and holiday charm with  the toe-tapping tunes of “

Honky Tonk Angels,” the delightful and clever “Matt & Ben,” the screwball comedy “Around The World in 80 Days,” and the gripping drama “The Turn of the Screw.”  

The season will wrap up in December with a hilarious return engagement of “Every Christmas Story Ever Told ( And Then Some!)”  Subscriptions are on-sale now and may be purchased by calling the box office at 850.231.0733 or online at www.seasiderep.org.

The Summer Repertory Season begins with “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” on Thursdays in Alys Beach followed by “The Stinky Cheese Man” on Mondays at Seaside, “How I Became a Pirate” on Tuesdays at Watercolor and “The Commedia Pinocchio” on Wednesdays at Rosemary Beach.  These kid-friendly family shows are the perfect complement to a day at the beach.

For the Mainstage Season, subscription prices are just $100 for all five shows.  Single tickets will go on-sale approximately six to eight weeks prior to each performance opening.

Honky Tonk Angels

Around the World in 80 Days

A Comedy/Adventure by Mark Brown

June 16-July 30 at 7:30 p.m.  *  $25

This theatrical journey follows Phileas Fogg and his servant, Passepartout, as they set out to beat the clock in a race around the world.  Five actors portray 39 characters from this classic novel, in an adaptation that’s been called “ingenious and imaginative” and “a ton of fun for all ages.”

The Turn of the Screw

Adapted by Jeffery Hatcher

From the novella by Henry James

October 6 -22 at 7:30 p.m.  *  $25

This  gripping ghost story tells the chilling tale of a young governess who is hired to care for a charming bachelor ‘s niece and nephew.  As it unfolds in a grand Victorian mansion in the English countryside, sinister events place lives in jeopardy.
Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)
