Nine South Walton Eateries Featured on Emeril's Florida

SoWal local Emeril Lagasse just kicked off season two of Emeril's Florida on the Cooking Channel, and our beloved South Walton takes center stage. This season, SoWal is featured in nine different segments, with the first airing Sunday, Jan. 19 at 1:30 p.m. CST. Two episodes focusing solely on South Walton Beaches air Sunday, Jan. 26 at 1:30 p.m. CST and Sunday, Mar. 2 at 1:30 p.m. CST.

Boshamps Offers Gulf to Table Southern Cuisine

With a variety of great restaurants along the Destin Harbor, it takes a lot to stand out. With so much fanfare about the recent opening of Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House, they’ve got to be doing something right. Since opening last Spring, Boshamps has garnered much attention for its locally-caught seafood dishes, fresh Apalachicola oysters and southern-inspired cuisine.

Here in South Walton we have a great collection of wonderful restaurants, from one end of the county to the other. The latest list of awards from Florida Trend Magazine honors some of our very best.

Each year, Florida Trend highlights the top restaurants throughout the state with the Golden Spoon Awards. Six South Walton restaurants are included this year, more than any other area in the Panhandle.
