30Avenue is a new upscale shopping and dining destination on the eastern gateway to South Walton, just across the highway from Rosemary Beach. It's growing day by day, and not only has fantastic restaurants and boutiques, but premier office space on upper floors. Brick walkways and tall palms line a lush green space and an infinity reflecting pool. White stucco façades are similar to nearby Alys Beach architecture.
We enjoy discovering the freshest and most interesting foods whether its produce, cheese, wines, olive oils, seafood, baked goods or specialty foods. SoWal food shopping options are expanding in ways that make us thrilled to be able to shop local. Tasty, healthful and fresh foods can now be found at a number of locally owned markets, health foods stores, and gourmet/specialty shops.
With excellent stores like Anthropologie and Pottery Barn, Grand Boulevard’s retail mix is aligning nicely with their established dining scene. Wide shaded walkways, lush greens and stone facades will have you looking for excuses to visit, and there are plenty. Like Happy Hour, for instance.
Sun worshippers, surfers, beach babes, professionals, and entrepreneurs are all busy, whether in an office or on the beach. Everyone deserves to take a break from the daily grind to grab a cocktail and kick back. No need to rinse the salt water from your hair, the sand from your feet or polish your loafers - just walk in and belly up to one of these cool, laid-back outdoor bars where the rum flows and the frequenters feel right at home in our latest SoWal List.
Elmo’s Grill has been in business in SoWal for almost 30 years now and owners Brad and Amanda Josten plan to keep serving great food for 30 more.
“We took over in May 2016 and have done a lot of tweaking to the original menu,” says Brad.

Last week, I joined the SoWal team for lunch at La Cocina. The restaurant has been open in its Seacrest Beach spot for over ten years and is well known for its Latin-inspired cuisine and great margaritas in a festive atmosphere. It's been high on my list of SoWal restaurants to experience, all of my expectations were fulfilled and more.
