When South Walton’s newest establishment, The Bay, opened in April of this year, everyone in town was buzzing about it. This beloved location at the foot of the 331 bridge has been home to a few establishments, but found its forever tenant when Chef Jim Shirley renovated the space to open The Bay.

Emerald Coast Magazine (ECM) and the Junior League of the Emerald Coast have been busy preparing for the 2014 Best of the Emerald Coast celebration The 2014 winners, as voted by the readers of Emerald Coast Magazine, will be on display at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin on Saturday, October 25, from 6-9 p.m.to showcase their goods and services.
It's always a great party and it's for a great cause - raising funds every year for one of our favorite local organizations - Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). They see to it that all children in our area receive needed medical and dental care. We're thrilled Bud & Alley’s will be hosting the 10th Annual Hurricane Party again this year. The Hurricane Party will take place on Friday, Sept. 26 from 6-10 p.m.

Taste of the Beach, Northwest Florida’s premier culinary and wine celebration, is uncorking its 2014 lineup of five unique events with Vine to Wine-A Wine Preview on August 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Seascape Golf, Beach & Tennis Resort.
Vine to Wine will offer tastings of more than 200 wines that will be featured during the Taste of the Beach, October 31-November 2. Guests will also enjoy gourmet food pairings and receive a limited edition Reidel wine glass. Tickets for the event are $55 per person in advance.
We're thrilled to welcome back Wednesday night concerts at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin! Musical talent from throughout the region perform on the outdoor stage in the events plaza each week this spring from 6pm to 8pm. Make plans to come out every Wednesday night with your chairs/blankets to relax under the stars and enjoy some great music with family and friends. Free admission and open to the public.

For a few years now, Heritage has been a constant staple of the Emerald Coast music scene. Whenever they play in South Walton and Destin, you’re sure to find the place packed with people there to dance, have fun, and take in the good vibes that come from their great mix of rock, reggae and island music.
