Henderson Beach State Park invites you to take part in Beach Clean-up Marathon Day, Monday, July 9th from 8 - 10am. Join us as we clean up our beautiful beaches after the holiday weekend. Come out and clean just one park, or two parks, or complete all three parks and receive a special reward! Entrance fee waived for participants.
Schedule is as follows: Henderson Beach State Park 8 to 10 AM, Grayton Beach State Park 12 to 2 PM and St. Andrews State Park 6 to 8 PM. This is a great way to get introduced to the beautiful state parks in our area. Come meet new people while giving back to the community and beautifying our parks and beaches.
In order to participate in this program, one:
• Must have the ability to follow visual and/or verbal instruction independently or with the assistance of a companion.
• Must have the ability to withstand exposure to the outdoors for a period of up to 2 hours. • Must have the ability to navigate wet, sandy, uneven terrain for 1 mile independently or with the assistance of a companion or with the use of adaptive equipment.
Henderson Beach State Park is across the county line in Destin. At Henderson Beach State Park, pristine white sugar sand beaches and more than 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline border the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. There are parking and restrooms right next to the Gulf.
