Seaside Prize Weekend

The Seaside Institute presents the SEASIDE PRIZE with a weekend of events from February 22 through February 25, 2018 in Seaside, Florida. 

The Seaside Institute awards the 2018 SEASIDE PRIZE to the Pioneer Architects of Seaside: Ernesto Buch, Deborah Berke, Robert Orr, Walter Chatham, and Alex Gorlin. Ernesto, Deborah, Robert, Walter, and Alex designed some of the first and most iconic Seaside buildings and helped foster the rebirth of traditional architecture and neighborhood development.

The Seaside Institute awards the Seaside Prize each year to individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the quality and character of our communities. The recipients of the Prize have a major influence on how our towns and cities promote walkability, diversity, beauty, and sustainability. Seaside Prize fellows are leaders of urban design, planning, architecture, development, and education.

The 2018 Seaside Fellows will receive the Prize at a special ceremony as part of the Seaside Prize weekend held on February 22-25, 2017 in Seaside, Florida.
