The End of Summer Throwdown is taking place on South Walton's north beach on the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay! Come out to The Bay and Borago on Tuesday, September 5 for a Bay2Borago Paddle, food and drink specials, beach games and live music all day and night. It's going to be a blast. Good-bye summer and hello fall in SoWal!
The party will begin at noon the day after Labor Day at The Bay with food stations, live music on the sand, beach games, drink specials and fun in the water. At 4:30 the YOLO Board Bay2Borago Paddle will begin and go from The Bay to Borago where the party will continue. Borago will have live music on the beach, food stations, beach games and drink specials from 5:00 til 10:00 pm. It is an all-day beach bash that covers everything you could ever want in a beach party. You could win prizes from The Bay, Borago, 30A and YOLO Board. Be ready to “take back the beach” at this End of Summer Throw Down!

Bay2Borago Paddle
Just bring your board and you can sign up for free. The YOLO Board Bay2Borago paddle departs from The Bay's beach at 4:30 pm and heads out under the 331 Bridge and to the shores at Borago where the party continues. Paddle board racers will win prizes like a YOLO Board, 30A swag and gift cards from The Bay and Borago. Everyone completing the fun Bay2Borago paddle will receive an End of Summer Throw Down t-shirt. Those not paddling can can easily walk across the street and keep the party going.
A gem sitting directly on Choctawhatchee Bay at the southern foot of the 331 bridge, The Bay is Chef Jim Shirley's waterfront hot spot. The family-friendly restaurant features mouth-watering Southern gulf coast cuisine, sushi, a 12-draft beer system, excellent wine selections, and inventive bar-crafted cocktails. Borago is a classic trattoria with a contemporary flair serving homemade food that is the heart and soul of Italian cooking. Their permanent new home is located on the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay at 3-Thirty-1, at the foot of the Hwy. 331 bridge. Borago is open nightly for dinner, and reservations are recommended. Lunch is served on the outside Beach Bar on Thursday through Sunday from 11 am - 3 pm. Dinner starts at 5 pm every night in the newly designed upstairs setting with stunning views of the bay.
