Thanks, it was much more beautiful than the pic allows.
These are from the second day.
I LOVE the wicked, wintry pictures! I know when you're there on a much anticipated vacation, you want some sun and warmth. But there is just something special about crashing waves on a blustery, wild day at the beach. Nothing compares.

Monday, Part 3

We woke up, Mr OL made a nice breakfast and we waited for it to warm up a bit before we headed down to the beach. We were hoping the double red flag had changed but it had only changed to red and purple. (do not go in the water & jelly fish) I did not see one jellyfish the entire time I was there. So we packed up and headed down. I was surprised to see so many people. Chip was busy setting up chairs and umbrellas. I really think he has the life...set up, lay out in the sun all day, talk to pretty girls & take down. I'm sure there's more to it than that but this is just my observation.;-)
Our entertainment that day was watching the lifeguard go out after the rule breakers. It was really cool to watch him on his surfboard. he made it out to people in no time flat. I was utterly amazed at so many parents that let their kids go out. Some very far. I was very proud of my kids for not questioning our rules. They happily played on the beach digging big holes, building castles or whatever. Mr OL took on the job of hole patrol for the week and filled in not only ours of course but any that crossed our path. I know the kids were just dying to get in the water and body surf and boogie board. They saw everyone else doing it. I just prayed the water would calm down for one day so they could.
We stayed a few hours then decided to go to the pool before we went back to the condo. Here's my promised pedi pic.

We ended up making crab legs and crab cakes for dinner that we got from Publix the night before. They were okay, nothing to rave about.

After dinner we went to GPSP for a hike. Gosh now I can't remember which pics I've already posted! It was funn and very peaceful and beautiful.

By now it's dusk and the sun is starting to set. We walked out on the beach at the SP and we saw people dressed in funny clothes. khaki/white, denim/khaki/ :D Yea, I got pics.

We also ran into some boys that made a really cool sea turtle. I asked it I could take their picture with it so now you get to see it too. I may have embarrassed Sam alittle b/c these were some pretty cute boys. :D

After a day at the beach and the hike we were all wore out. We hit the sack early ( early for us) and were zonked.

End of Day 3
