IBD: I am not at the computer I used for my search...I use Lexis/Nexis. ..so, I can't link anything this weekend. You can find a lot if you go to the Anchorage Daily News archives; look on the Alaska legislative site. I have received several emails/statements from the Wildlife organizations...Time and Newsweek have done stories on her; she was featured in Vanity Fair. Chalie Rose did a show with her not long ago that I saw. You can find that online too.

In the world we live in, are these 4 the best America can offer ???? Are they qualified to be commander in chief ?? Can Biden or McCain reform Washington ??? Can any of them manage the biggest most complex enterprise in the history of mankind ??? The answer is no !!

But then again, with the exception of Reagan, when has it ever been over the last 40 years??

Jimmy Carter :yikes:
Ronald Reagan :D
George H. W. Bush
William J. Clinton
George W. Bush

that is fine Bob, I being 38 would love to have another child if God blessed me with one. If God chose my child to have a birth defect I don't for one minute think that is bad in any way. As long as I was healthy and the Dr. gave me the green light I would not see it as a gamble.

Yes, there were more experienced people out there for McCain to pick as VP, but looking at the Democrat nominee, who has les experience that Palin, that dog does not hunt.

well, yes....:funn:
. Everyone is free to to do what makes them feel "good", but having a 5th child at 44 when you are the governor of a state, and already have 4 offspring seems rather dubious. If you believe God chooses birth defects, well, I can't argue with that. I would not know where to begin. I would love to hear from those in the medical field about the wisdom of producing kids in your mid forties. McCain isn't just a maverick, he's too darn unpredictable and angry to be the best candidate for President from his party. Poor choice!

I am truly heartsick about this pick. Senator McCain has just blown the presidency. I live in Sedona and have met McCain. I am a great admirer of him. He has just lost my support and I think eventually millions of people like myself.....social liberals but fiscal and national defense conservatives. I don't know a blessed thing about Gov Palin and that is the point. The main raisonne detre ( fancy word) for picking a VP is if that person can assume the presidency if something terrible happens. We are talking about a 72 yo man who has suffered three melanomas. Gov Palin's resume and experience makes Barack Obama look like he is the second coming of Winston Churchill !!! This was an outrageous boneheaded pick. Pandering to women as if women will be prepared to vote for a pro life, gun bearing, killer of moose !!! :yikes: I will vote for Obama.

Ohhhh g44 at least wait to learn more about her, the
Repub Convention, the VP debate, and still there seems to be something the big "O" has not come clean about. Don't jump the gun! None of us should. Be patient and listen. For God's sake I'm hoping the skies will open up and an angel will come down and role out a scroll that tells us all who to vote for. Just teasing!

I'm not sure who I will vote for, but I do know that I will not fear the future whoever wins. Actually, I was pulling for Romney, but apparently he has too many houses too! He could have pulled some women over I'm sure.

Maybe we can discuss this over lunch.;-)

Let me say that last night I watched the post Obama coverage on MSNBC. The network's political coverage is horrendous now that Tim Russert is gone. CNN is by far the best out there.

I love that we have freedom of the press, but yes, MSNBC is scary. I know when I turn there exactly what I will hear within 3 seconds. That Keith Olberman guy is a scary, scary man. It really makes MSNBC look like a joke. I wonder if he even takes himself seriously. Does anyone take him seriously for that matter.

There are more Alaskans here in SoWal and Northwest Florida than you might think. I even know another Alaskan beauty queen that is darn sharp that works right here on 30A.

The Coffee House young lady ? Not only beautiful but a real outdoorswoman.

I find Chris Matthews particularly annoying. Keith Oberman and Rachel Maddow give me a case of hives when I hear them speak. I like Brokaw when he is on and Todd Whateverhisnameis. I like some of the panelists particularly Eugene Robinson. But mostly I avoid MSNBC.
