Lord help my time...I sure don't want to get on her bad side. :boxing:

(p.s. I just saw a gay republican in the audience.)

What a gracious, poised, and articulate leader! From the Mayor of a small town .. America has thousands of them .. to the Governor of the largest geographical state, she has demonstrated the ability to lead, to inspire, to change, to reform and to make a difference.

John S. McCain chose quite well.

The next few months will be fun to watch!

She certainly has a natural easy delivery!

I thought the condescending jabs at Obama's service in South Chicago weren't called for. Got cheers in that hall though. To belittle organizing community service for a part of a city that seriously needed it made me cringe. There are so many community agencies that work so hard with little recognition (they don't expect it). Her (and Guiliani's) laughing at that was pure politics and shows disrespect for lots of hard working groups - even though it was aimed at Obama. That part I thought was totally unnecessary and insulting.

They said she was a good speaker and she was. McCain has a hard act to follow.

I think people might have underestimated the power of Sarah Palin. I have voted Democrat and Republican, always going with who I thought was the best person instead of a party. While I was fired up about Hillary and hope she will run in 2012, this is what I find exciting about Sarah's appeal, while I don't agree with her on all her viewpoints, she is dynamic, not afraid to play with the big boys and has the potential to change what has been typically not available to women and a mother of 5 kids! I loved her accent too! Before anyone knocks me down for it, that is just one little thing that made it even more enjoyable to listen to her message. When she said she would be an advocate for special needs, that tugged at my heart.

I will reserve judgment until the debates but at first blush, the rose is pretty sweet (with thorns!)

You do realize she is a VP candidate? Would you vote for a prez based on who the VP candidate is? Or are you looking for a way to justify a decision you're already leaning toward?

Really? I didn't know that! I guess with the other post saying President Palin, I must have gotten confused!

Just kidding! I think she has shaken up the election - right now, she is very much an asset to John.

My point goes back to your post above. A little rehab won't help us take on nations which have more smart people than our entire population. That is scary. Sure, it would help us to set more positive examples in the world, but if we individuals don't get off our keesters, we will quickly begin to suffer economically as a Country, and we all know that the economy is what keeps the Gov't grinding.

That's right folks, get out there and have some babies!! Look the simple fact is that China and India will crush themselves under their own population. My biggest fear of China and India is when resources become scarce. I sure don't want to answer the door when 3 billion hungry people decide to crash for dinner.

My mom was a big fan of Hillary, but Biden was her choice for Pres., early in the race. She never liked Obama. I'll get her newest thoughts soon. I'm curious to know.

Not true. Hillary wants to place a penalty tax on the oil companies for making too much money. Palin heavily taxed the oil companies in Alaska, though for a source of revenue for the government in Alaska, not for penalties for making too much money.

I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask for a link to where Palin herself pushed for heavier taxes on the oil companies. Not simply being in office as the one's in place where enforced.

You mean the one with the almost Simpson like yellow hair? He was cute until he opened his mouth.
