OK, I'm sick of hearing about how much better these are than all the others. But the evidence is wearing me down; I can honestly tell the difference! There's actually a different look to "Chi hair." Mermaid, I know you bought Fyl one for Christmas. Is she loving it? If anyone else has one, I need your input, and I also need recommendations on specific models--there are a bunch, and I'm confused!

Pea, this is the flat iron that we got for Fyl at Christmas:

Her stylist used this model on Fyl's hair to great results, but I balked at the price tag so I didn't buy it at the salon. Thank god for overstock! This is the one many professionals use because it's reliable and doesn't burn out and need replacement every other year (like the lesser priced irons). It gives wonderful results when amateurs like my daughter use it. Does it work? Well, Fyl said that her high school's most absorbed girl, the one that never notices anything unless it's directly about her, actually complimented Fyl on how good her hair's been looking. So the proof is in the pudding. ;-)

I have that Chia pet look going on. :funn:I actually came home from SoWal in November and got my hair whacked off (well, not all of it but tons and tons!) my stylist uses a flat iron on it now and I love it! I'm still shopping around for one.

Oh I can't wait to see your new "do," gttbm! I bet it looks fantastic. You have such a nice head of hair to start with. I'm about ready to cut my mane off but first I want to lose a few pounds--I'm feeling a little too jowly right now to go for a short bob!

Your hair's great MM! As I recall, you got several compliments the day of our shopping expedition. It suits your cute, bubbly personality!!

Thank you, gttbm. It cheers my winter-shriveled frozen self up to hear that! (Now doesn't that sound sad, like a comment from someone who could use another dose of SoWal sunshine....?) ;-)

I wish. But, alas, my hair is too thin now to have it long like I did back in the VW bus days. :bang:
