Into Thin Air had it's share of controversy. there was a lot of back and forth regarding who's account of the story was more accurate.

another good read i just finished a little while ago is A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. he's getting some heat, since some of his facts have turned up discredited, but of course have enhanced sales

I am currently reading "The City of Falling Angels" by the author of "Midnight In the Garden Of Good And Evil"- John Berendt. "Running with Scissors" by Augesten Burroughs - very disturbing but couldn't put it down.

I also recommend "Garlic and Sapphires".

how is the city of falling angels? i like midnight .... but thought he got kinda wordy in places. would love to get your opinion !

I am enjoying this book immensely. The book is somewhat of a mystery ? it is framed around the fire at the Fenice Opera House. He does a terrific job of describing Venice, it?s social life, politics and people. There are a lot of characters and a little Italian in the book but there are glossaries and indexes in the back that make it easier to follow. I might find it a difficult read if it was a different subject matter but I have always been intrigued by Venice.

It was very stressful at the end there but thankfully we were able to pull out a win. I did feel bad for Dungy and the Colts - they are an awesome team. Bring on the Broncos!

i didn't feel bad whatsoever ;-) since i don't really follow football i didn't care one way or the other, but i am not a payton manning fan in the least. i only watch hockey as far as sports, so most of the time i have no idea who is even playing. :D

I'm getting ready to get on our local library website and reserve some books to pick up next week. Would love some recommendations for gardening, cooking, and traveling, or any other non-fiction to supplement my fiction requests.

Wow , there are 2 of us in this universe that feel less than positive about Payton.....he was a little cocky about whose fault it was the team lost. He is talented but surrounded by strength helps one to shine.
