Angelina's Pizzeria and Pasta: That's Amore

August 2, 2021 by Abby Eller

So many years of quality service, so many pizzas!

Brian and Jan Ethridge opened Angelina’s Pizzeria & Pasta in 1994 with a specific vision –  to own and operate a restaurant that embodies the classic Italian family home. Bravo! Mission accomplished.

Now a well-established SoWal restaurant, Angelina’s is a fun, neighborhood joint in Seagrove Beach offering up thoughtful plates, including a unique mix of sandwiches, pizzas, calzones, classic pastas, and salads, including my personal favorite their unparalleled Antipasta Salad perfectly paired with a local brew or a glass of wine.

“I want people to know we are a family run restaurant, serving up family meals, and I want people to feel they are like family to us,” says Jan.

The pizza at Angelina’s speaks for itself. Hand tossed, their New York style pizza is cooked to perfection. Offered a la carte with a multitude of toppings on the menu, the hot cheesy goodness is available in three different sizes - 12, 16, and 18 inches.

Angelina’s makes all of their sauces, pizza dough, meatballs, and salad dressings in-house from scratch using those same family recipes that have stood the test of time. The kitchen keeps it simple using fresh ingredients to make nostalgia-evoking dishes that are clean and savory.

“Spinning the dough is my favorite part of each work day,” states Shawn O’Drain, line cook turned Kitchen Manager, whose become family to the Ethridge’s over the past two decades. “I love watching customers enjoying the “show” while simultaneously enjoying our flavorful food.”

If you’re not in the mood for pizza, choose from a multitude of House Pasta Specials or Pasta Features, all served with house salad and two fresh-baked breadsticks. Satisfy that rumbling in your stomach with Baked Ravioli, Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan or Shawn’s favorite dish, the Linguine Frutte de Mar loaded with fresh shrimp, scallops, clams, garlic, chopped parsley, crushed red pepper, extra virgin olive oil, and tossed with linguine in a white wine reduction.

Turning new diners into return customers is no easy task. “The consistency of our food is the key ingredient,” says O’Drain. “Our customers always know they are gonna get a quality product every time they come through our doors.”

For decades, Angelina’s eatery has charmed locals and visitors alike with great food and warm, friendly service. Enjoy lunch or dinner or place your order for takeout. Be sure to ask about their lunch specials, you can never go wrong! Open 7 days a week, Angelina’s provides “first come, first served” style seating – they do not accept reservations.
