The 26th Annual Sandestin Wine Festival on April 26-29, 2012 was a picture-perfect festival, complete with white tents, flowing wine, gourmet food and live music at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. It's SoWal.com-sponsored event not to be missed every spring in Sandestin!
Festival Dinners and Seminars
Beginning April 26, leading Village restaurants held special wine dinners, paring culinary options with delicious wines. On Friday April 27, guests experienced seminars focused on wines (and also bourbon). These seminars are opportunities for participants to their expand knowledge with information shared by experts in their fields.
Grand Wine Tastings
Grand Wine Tastings were held at The Village of Baytowne Wharf on Saturday, April 28 and Sunday, April 29 from 1- 5 p.m. Wine connoisseurs and novices joined together to sample more than 600 different wines. New this year was an expanded Culinary Pavilion with a Mediterranean theme, wine celebrities and demonstrations from well-known chefs.
Retail Tent
After a full day of sampling wines and finding new favorites, guests flooded the retail tent. Unlike other wine events, the Sandestin Wine Festival offers attendees the chance to purchase and transport wine sampled that day.
