Details
The series will be every Sunday between Memorial Day weekend through mid October. Each week will feature a different local or regional group, ranging in genres. Performances will be appropriate for attendees of all ages. Concerts are from 6-9 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the concert on the Amphitheater lawn. Gulf Place would like to thank concert sponsor, Wyndham Vacation Rentals.
John Mark Turner and Scott Crompton have been playing together for over 20 years. As the guitars of BLUES OLD STAND, they have toured around the world with other various artists and collaborations.
In 2011, Scott opened BLADE STUDIOS with business partner Brady Blade (Dave Matthews & Friends, Emmy Lou Harris, Bob Dylan and others) and has served as a session player on numerous records to date with Brady and playing with the famed HALLELUJAH TRAIN band.
John Mark Turner made his home in Santa Rosa Beach in 2009 and plays bass and sometimes guitar with CADILLAC WILLY while also doing session work for BLADE STUDIOS and DOCKSIDE STUDIOS. John Mark is considered one of the top players on the Gulf Coast and now that Scott has moved to Santa Rosa Beach, they are looking forward to building on their acoustic duo band in the 30a area.
Over 20 years of diverse work by both players, has led to a massive list of songs and genres delivered in a unique style that works for any type audience. From rock to country, bluegrass to reggae, singer songwriter to instrumental, the way they sing and play guitar together, its clear they are seasoned musicians that connect on a high level.
