November 3, 2013 by SoWal Staff

Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse returned to South Walton recently for the taping of the second season of “Emeril’s Florida.” Emeril made visits to many South Walton favorites to enjoy the food, the people and to experience what makes SoWal so special.

Our diverse culinary community will be featured in three episodes including nine local establishment - Havana Beach, V Seagrove, 723 Whiskey Bravo, Seaside’s Airstream Row, Fire at Gulf Place, Crust Artisan Bakery, Seagar's Prime Steaks and Seafood, Marlin Grill and The Wine Bar at Grand Boulevard.

Emeril visited the establishments to film interviews and tastings at each location.  Additional production crews will visit again this fall to capture the beauty and style of South Walton for final production.

The new season is scheduled to air in early 2014 featuring 13 restaurants in Northwest Florida, nine of which are located in South Walton. Season one of the series originally aired on the Cooking Channel and has also on the Food Network. The first series featured three different South Walton restaurants - Stinky's Fish Camp, Great Southern Cafe, and Bud & Alley's.
