Sip, Savor and Socialize at 45 Central Wine Bar

March 27, 2020 by Jill Tanner

Everybody loves a good wine bar. In the center of SoWal we have a favorite on the square in Seaside, Fl. Locals and visitors gather at 45 Central Wine Bar in to sip, savor and socialize. Formerly an art gallery, the repurposed wine bar took on a new look as the walls were adorned with handcrafted wine boxes filled with wine from around the world.
Owner & chef Jim Shirley’s inspiration for 45 Central came to him as he was cooking. He designed the menu for sharing. The idea is to ensure that patrons have a wide variety from which to order and that everyone is presented with a little bit of everything. Jim is also chef and owner at Great Southern Cafe in Seaside and The Bay on the south side of the 331 bridge.

Richard Liveakos, the 45 Central fine wine specialist, along with Chef Jim, search for rare, specialty wines. 45 Central carry wines rarely found even at wine and spirits stores. Buying wine is an art, and these two are experts. At 45 Central, rare wines are for sale by the glass and bottle. The swanky wine bar offers at least 45 wines by the glass any given day and exclusive vintages are sold by the glass using Coravin Wine Technology.

If a trip to the wine bar is not in your plans, you can call ahead and order any of the wines on the menu and then pick up the bottles when you want. Whether it’s a special occasion or a benediction to the day’s activities, this is the go-to place for the perfect bottle of vino. The wine bar offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding.

45 Central opens daily for lunch at 11:00 a.m.and serves fine wine and food until midnight every night. Enjoy half priced wine by the glass during happy hour every day from 4-6 p.m. Stop by for paella every Wednesday and Friday at 6 p.m.on the patio for a $10 plate and $5 Spanish wine by the glass. See you in Seaside, FL on the square.
