New Beach Trams Launch March First To Connect Public Beach Accesses

The Walton County Tourism Department is expanding its free Beach Tram service on March 1, with routes running from the new 393 Municipal Parking Facility, which is 4 blocks north of 30A on Hwy 393 at Gulf Place,  and Grayton Beach Municipal Parking Facility, which is 4 blocks north of 30A on Hwy 283.

Note that these large public parking lots have covered waiting areas with seating and restrooms, as well as inside air-conditioned waiting areas with local art.

Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park Feb 7

Winter in South Walton brings a special kind of magic to the historic grounds of Eden Gardens State Park.

While other gardens may be sleeping, the park’s collection of over 370 camellias is just waking up, splashing shades of pink, red, and white against the deep green landscape of Point Washington. On Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the community is invited to celebrate these "winter roses" at the annual Camellia Festival.
