The Inaugural 30A Craft Beer & Spirits Festival will be at Gulf Place on Sep 30 and Oct 1, 2016. Formerly known as The Destin Beer Festival, the popular and tasty event has attracted over 1,000 craft beer & spirits lovers to our area each year with 100% of the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations. This year the benefiting charity will be the beloved Seaside School Foundation.

Single family closed sales were up a significant 15% for August compared to the same month last year. The percentage of closed sales paid in cash was up 51%. Inventory was down 1%. Median sales price was down 11%.
Months Supply of Inventory for Walton County is down 9% over same month last year at 7.2 months for August 2016.

The fall Red Snapper season opened up for four days over Labor Day weekend with lots of folks getting good catches on the days calm enough to go. The remains of Hurricane Hermine had the Gulf a little rough for a couple days but all in all we got off easy, it didn't even rain here!
