30A Craft Beer & Spirits Festival Sep 30 & Oct 1

The Inaugural 30A Craft Beer & Spirits Festival will be at Gulf Place on Sep 30 and Oct 1, 2016. Formerly known as The Destin Beer Festival, the popular and tasty event has attracted over 1,000 craft beer & spirits lovers to our area each year with 100% of the proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations. This year the benefiting charity will be the beloved Seaside School Foundation.

Walton County Florida Real Estate Report for August 2016

The latest local real estate report for August 2016 includes statistics for single family homes, townhomes, and condos in Walton County, Florida. Single family closed sales were up a significant 15% for August compared to the same month last year. The percentage of closed sales paid in cash was up 51%. Inventory was down 1%. Median sales price was down 11%.

Months Supply of Inventory for Walton County is down 9% over same month last year at 7.2 months for August 2016.

12th Annual Hurricane Party at Bud & Alley's Sep 23

The 12th Annual Hurricane Party will take place Friday, September 23 from 6:30-10:00 pm at Bud & Alley's Restaurant in Seaside, FL with all proceeds benefiting Children's Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). The night will be filled with entertainment along with the amazing views, food, beverages, dancing and fun that Bud and Alley’s is famous for, the event will also feature a live and silent auction. Put on your dancing shoes for 4 Barrel Funk from Mobile, Alabama with a Motown show.

Great Time to be Fishin' at Grayton

It's a wonderful time to be at the beach! The last big crush of visitors from Labor Day weekend is over, there are no lines at the restaurants, Red Snapper season is open on the weekends and there are lots of other fish to catch during the week.

The fall Red Snapper season opened up for four days over Labor Day weekend with lots of folks getting good catches on the days calm enough to go. The remains of Hurricane Hermine had the Gulf a little rough for a couple days but all in all we got off easy, it didn't even rain here!
