The fun couple from Memphis opened their unique beer garden just over a year ago to share their love of beer and bikes. There is nothing subdued about the operation. Mitch's custom-painted motorcycles, guitars, and surfboards jazz the space. Like the creative microbreweries and artists they promote, uniqueness is the name of the game.

The 7th annual Nashville Songwriters Florida Sunshine Tour brings top songwriters to The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin this October 7-8, 2016. Singer songwriters will perform at restaurants and venues throughout the Village for two incredible nights of music.

The seventh annual event, sponsored by Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) and hosted by Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, will showcase ten or more Nashville songwriters who will sing country’s biggest hits and share the stories behind the songs.

It was absolutely beautiful here at the beach yesterday and today but the folks over on the East Coast are dealing with Hurricane Mathew. The storm has us getting a pretty stiff NE wind which makes it slick calm on the beach but pretty bouncy offshore. In another 2 weeks I'd take my folks out to chase Flounders and Kings right up on the beach but right now our only species are the Kings up in close and my folks decided they didn't want to just troll for a whole trip. Fine with me as it gives me a chance to catch up and write a report !

Walton County began the process of developing a paddle trail initiative on the Choctawhatchee River beginning in 2011. Former Walton County Board Member Scott Brannon led the movement towards the application for grant funds to develop the Blueway Paddle Trail. Unfortunately, Walton County was not awarded funding at that time.
