Book Signing with Hardy Jackson at Coastal Branch Library SEPT 25

The South Walton Community Council (SWCC) is pleased to host author Hardy Jackson and Sundog Books at its next public forum. Hardy will trace the development of the Florida-Alabama coast, or the “Redneck Riviera” as a tourist destination from the late 1920s when 30A was sparsely populated with small villages through the Deepwater Horizon oil spill of 2010. Jackson will discuss his book, The Rise and Fall of the Redneck Riviera, and focus on the history of C. R.

Sinfonia Gulf Coast 2014-2015: Seeing is Believing

Sinfonia Gulf Coast is set to stir the senses with Seeing is Believing, the Northwest Florida orchestra’s ninth season, featuring an innovative lineup that will begin and end with vivid imagery set to music. The 2014-2015 program, continuing the nonprofit’s “symphony redefined” founding tradition, includes an array of world-renowned artists as well as two orchestral premiers.

The judging is complete and the official results are in for our 2014 "You're So SoWal if..." contest!  A big SoWal thanks to everyone who sent in entries to make this year the best ever with great stuff from across the country. Beach lovers near and far know and love South Walton beaches!
