There was something for everyone over the three days of the third annual 30A Songwriters Festival. Nonstop music in great venues indoors and out along the world's most beautiful beaches. 

Lucky ticket holders were treated to more than 125 songwriters and over 250 performances in venues ranging from intimate listening rooms to spacious outdoor amphitheaters.

I just had to write about a great fishing trip I had on the Dead Fish with Captain Larry, his son William and our friend Marshal. What a day!

I am especially excited to tell the story of this trip because for once in the many years I have fished with Larry, I finally set a record on his boat. I landed a 50 pound amberjack (by the scale) which turned out to be the largest amberjack ever landed on the Dead Fish. Larry's son William went on and on about the fish and I was so proud because it is quite a feat to catch the largest of any fish species on that fishing machine.
 

Handling in excess of 100 weddings a year, the team at SunQuest Cruises runs a tight ship. They take care of the bride-to- be’s wedding needs down to the last detail, from planning through implementation on the big day. The two full-time event planners on staff work directly with the bride, or with her wedding coordinator.

The stretch of coastline along Scenic 30A and Destin is home to some of the most spectacular beaches in the world. Land sales have increased from 2010 due to the depleted supply of new home inventory.

New home construction is up significantly from 2009 and 2010. This years most expensive land list fell short of the ultra expensive lots sold in 2010 at Alys Beach and The Retreat.

There are many reasons why our farmers market is special and unique. One reason is our location by the beach in beautiful Seaside, but it's the vendors who are at the heart of the matter.
