The coastline of Northwest  Florida is known as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. The  lakes are generally permanent water bodies, although water levels may  fluctuate substantially due to rain, groundwater seepage through the  surrounding coastal sands, and storms. Sand dunes ranging in height from  a few feet to more than 30 feet separate the lakes from the Gulf of  Mexico.

"Bang! I'm not sure what happened," said Captain Mark Thompson. "Next thing I knew I had another boat wedged between my tramp and my hull."
By the time Thompson and his crew disengaged from the other boat the leaders were too far ahead to make a run for it.

Hands Across the Sand is a movement made of people from all walks of life and political affiliations.
The movement is not about politics;  it is about protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine  wildlife, and fishing industry.

The excitement had been building for weeks for the anticipated opening night. Le Grand Cirque began it's Summer 2010 run at Grand Boulevard on May 25th with a bang.
Featuring more than 40 champion acrobats and performers from Brazil, Canada, Russia, Mongolia, Europe and China, the performers have been hand-picked from around the world for their amazing abilities and precision skill. The result is a fast-paced, heart-pounding spectacle teeps the audience on the edge of their seats.

Inlet Beach Access has parking, restrooms, and lifeguards  during peak season. Located at the end of South Orange Street about 100  yards south of US 98.
Inlet Beach is the largest county access  and features three dune walkovers and 117 parking spaces. A 1/2 mile  walk to the east is Camp Helen State Park and Lake Powell.

Sugar Dunes Access is about 1/2 mile south of Scenic 30A at the end  of Beachside Drive on the east side of Eastern Lake. There is a shower  and a short boardwalk over the dunes to the beach.

Walton Dunes Access is about 1/2 mile south of Scenic 30A on  Beachfront Trail on the east side of Eastern Lake. There is some  roadside parking and no other amenities.

Seacrest Drive Access is on Scenic 30A at the intersection of  Seacrest Drive, about 1/2 mile east of Camp Creek Lake. A short  boardwalk leads to a dune walkover high atop a bluff overlooking the  Gulf of Mexico.

Sea Breeze Access in Seacrest, Florida is on Scenic 30A at the  intersection of Seabreeze Trail, about 1/2 mile east of Camp Creek Lake.  It has a shower but no parking. A short boardwalk through a coastal  grove leads to a dune walkover high atop a bluff with a commanding view  of the Gulf of Mexico.
