North Beach Social (NBS) is now officially open underneath Farm & Fire Southern Pizzeria at the foot of the 331 Bridge in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.

Formerly the North Beach Tortilla Company, the space has been brightened up to reflect the natural beauty of the scenic surroundings, namely some of the best sunsets overlooking the bay in South Walton. Outside seating is aplenty at the bar and deck with an abundance of white sandy beach for kids and adults to play.

Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant on Scenic Highway 30A in Seaside, Florida,—famous for its sunset celebration toasts—marks its 35th anniversary in 2021. Soon, Bud & Alley’s foodie fans can lift a glass at the daily sunset celebration toast on a newly renovated Roof Deck.

In 2020, Chef Jim Shirley received two honors, the first was becoming the 16th recipient of the Van Ness Butler Jr. Hospitality Award.

The award honors and recognizes excellence in the hospitality, service, travel/tourism, advertising and promotion industries, as well as contributions to the local community. Shirley’s contributions to the community throughout the years make him a natural choice for the honor.

Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood, Northwest Florida’s longest standing AAA Four-Diamond Steakhouse, has been named a Recommended Restaurant in Forbes Travel Guide’s 2021 Star Awards.

Cultivate Community Gardens (CCG), the first community garden in South Walton, announced the organization is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the J.W. Couch Foundation.

The funds will be used towards the initial construction of the community garden to be installed this spring at Padgett Park in Santa Rosa Beach.

“We are thrilled to help construct the first community garden in South Walton and believe it will be an amazing source of nutrition, education and wellness for all.” said Sean Couch, President of the J.W. Couch Foundation.

Café Thirty-A in Seagrove Beach raised a record-breaking total of $35,564 for Caring and Sharing of South Walton during its annual Charity Ball.

The Sandestin Gumbo Festival takes place in The Village of Baytowne Wharf on Saturday, February 20 from 12-4pm. The event is a beloved local winter tradition in South Walton, Florida. Featuring gumbo tasting throughout The Village in addition to bloody mary competition and live music.

The annual Food For Thought Fundraising Dinner is set to take place on Monday, April 12th 2021 at 5PM. Hosted at Seagar's Prime Steak and Seafood, the seven-course dinner will feature local chefs whom have curated an evening of fine wine and delicious cuisine. Cocktail/Resort Casual attire is expected.
