Registration Open for Seaside School Virtual Half Marathon + 5K

The Seaside Half Marathon & 5K will look different in Februrary 2021! In an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and prioritize the health and safety of our community and our participants, the Seaside School, Inc. and Seaside School Foundation have decided to move forward with a Virtual Half Marathon + 5K for the 19th annual event February 14 through 28, 2021. Registration is open!

CAA Emergency Relief Fund for Local Artists

Update 7/2/20: The CAA is accepting applications for the second round of grants from its Emergency Relief Fund for Artists (ERFA). The Fund was established in April to address the immediate economic needs of local, professional artists who have experienced loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications will be accepted weekly through August 28th through the CAA’s website, and grant awards will be available within one week of approval.

Point Washington Medical Clinic Seeking Volunteers

Point Washington Medical clinic is a donation-based clinic serving the SoWal community and has been overwhelmed with people seeking medical care and testing for COVID-19. Volunteers are needed NOW for a rewarding experience helping with all types of duties on clinic days - parking assistance, front desk, interpreters, health educators, nurses and health providers. Walton Skate Park Complete and Immediately Popular

I checked out the completed park the other day and there were a lot of people already hanging out and enjoying the new addition to Helen McCall Park. The dream of Walton Skate Society has become reality, through the hard work and fundraising of the group and our community. Walton County Skate Park is at Helen McCall Park south of US 98 and just west of Hwy 393 in Santa Rosa Beach.

Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), one of the nation’s premier fundraising organizations, is pleased to announce a special virtual auction benefiting children in need in Northwest Florida during a time of great uncertainty.

“Large gatherings may be currently suspended, but the needs of our 16 children’s charities are greater than ever before. We feel a strong sense of responsibility to find creative ways to continue supporting our charity partners and the important work they are doing for the children in our community,” DCWAF President John Russell said.
