Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Music & Adventures in March

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is a wonderful place to explore any day of the year, but the special events at the park are special indeed. Here's the inside info so you can make plans this Spring to attend some of the weekly music events and park ranger programs coming up in March at our Florida State Park located on the west end of Scenic 30A in South Walton.

Family Shrimp Boil and Fundraiser at V Seagrove

Join the South Walton community this Sunday, February 23 at V Seagrove to for a shrimp boil and fundraiser in support of Executive Chef David Cunningham and his family after the unexpected loss of their beloved wife and mother. The afternoon event is from noon to 4:00 pm and will include a shrimp boil, a chefs' potluck by local restaurants, silent auction, raffle, and live music.

Annual Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park Feb 15

The Friends of Eden present the annual Camellia Festival on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Eden Gardens State Park in Point Washington. Visitors are invited to stroll through beautiful camellias in full bloom throughout the grounds of the park, enjoy a camellia floral arrangement demonstration, learn air layering, (a camellia propagating technique), and camellia waxing for bloom preservation.

Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition: Everglades to Okefenokee Jan 23

The Seaside Repertory Theater is featuring "Florida Wildlife Corridor Expedition: Everglades to Okefenokee" on Thursday January 23 at 7:30 p.m.  The film documents four explorers who travel 1,000 miles from the Everglades to Okefenokee Swamp in 100 days. SWFD Polar Bear Splash & Bonfire at Ed Walline Park Jan 1

Start the New Year by taking a “SPLASH” with your family and friends at the first ever SWFD Polar Bear Splash. Come join us as “Splashers” take to the gulf waters on New Year’s Day. 

This invigorating event will surely get your blood flowing and for those that brave the winter waters, we will also be hosting a beach bonfire to help warm you up. 

Date/Time/Location- January 1, 2014. 11am at Ed Walline Park
$20 donation - All proceeds will benefit the SWFD Department Relations Committee.
