Redd Sings For Your Supper

Some people know what they are going to be from the time that are little. Redd Vizard is one of those people blessed by knowing her passion from an early age.

“I have been singing since I was a little girl. I started with the hairbrush as a microphone in the mirror, singing to Donny and Marie. Funny how stuff works out since I sing a little bit country and little bit of rock and roll, and a little of everything in between.”

Seabreeze Jazz Festival Hits High Notes

The 13th year was lucky for the Seabreeze Jazz Festival held April 13 – 17 at Pier Park in Panama City Beach. Attendance at the festival was up about 25% with over 7,500 happy Jazz fans jamming over three days.

Even the anticipated rain managed to hold off until after midnight, long after concertgoers had headed home.

“We own a radio station, but generally that is not the people who put on a jazz festival. We are learning as we build on past experiences,” Mark Carter said.

Kelsey Anna is Lighting up SoWal With Her Songs

Kelsey Anna is as local as the wildflowers along Walton County roads, and her talent is blooming just like them. You can hear her at small local venues like La Botana, Amavida, and Hibiscus. Catch her while you can so one day you can say you did. She's got pipes and can strum a good guitar, but what sets her apart are her songwriting skills. She's penned more than 50 honest tunes to date and there are some gems among them.

Smooth Jazz Provides Good Vibe For Listeners

Oct. 18, 1994 was the “birth” date of WSBZ, The Seabreeze smooth jazz radio station. Looking forward to a continued bright future, owners Mark and Renee Carter delight in providing music not only to local listeners, but with the help of Internet streaming, to fans of smooth jazz around the world.

But it wasn’t always a breeze; in fact it wasn’t always Seabreeze. The first radio station they owned was WWAV 102. It was 1985 and they played soft vocals with a few jazz songs.
