I hear ya girls! I HATE to pump gas too. But it's that or I run out on the expressway. Dang we need a man we can trust with our car who wears a star...was that Texaco??
You could say it will mess up your fingernails. It seems like that would be a grayt business idea, an old timey full service gas station.
They could even check the air in your tires.
Wonder why they ever quit?
There is ONE station in my town, that still pumps gas for LADIES only. I love it, plus the owner is A TRUE SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN.
I have liked to pump gas for a long time. I can remember being about 8 years old, pumping gas for my mom. I'd pump gas for my gal, anytime, as long as I don't have to drive to the gas station to meet her.
I know of a gas station in the Cove, in Panama City, which has full service. The first time I went there, I was riding with my brother. He says, "watch this," and we pull up to the pump. A lady, maybe 70 years old, comes out to the pump, and is pumping gas, and is over at the driver's window, asking if she can check the oil. Let me tell you. I wanted to jump out and pump the gas, but I didn't want to get my butt kicked by a 70 year old gas attendant lady. She truly loves her job, and my guess is that she probably owns the place, and feels the need to offer something that no other gas station in town offers. Did I mention that the gas was actually a couple pennies less per gallon at her station?
I really try not to shop anywhere if I'm in a hurry. It's much more enjoyable when you aren't rushing. You can really appreciate the season and are more available to practice little random acts of kindness. Nevermind that I still want tomy own mom.

Lost Dog APB!!![]()
13 year old chocolate lab named Coco is lost.
No collar, sweet dog, spotted in Beach Highlands area an hour or so ago.
You were a great friend to help them, with their missing pet search!
When you get serious about a pet, I really hope that you adopt one! There are sooo many wonderful and unwanted pets, that need love and a chance! My son did from the RUFF SHELTER IN FORT WALTON BEACH and Dobi has been a very luvable member, of our family!
If something ever happened to my Yorkie,
I will!
Actually, the dog's owner got that as an early X-mas gift! I don't own a dog yet due to schedule and housing constraints.
Thanks for the reminder though, I forgot I have 2 puppies on my gift list. If only we were all so happy w/ simple presents of chew toys and bones.![]()
